Position Summary:

Responsible and accountable for leading and managing medical clinics. Instrumental in defining the mission, goals, budget and performance standards for the clinic and communicating it to staff. Utilizes knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems. Uses skills in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising. Must work effectively with physicians, staff, patients, public and external agencies. Uses skills in gathering and interpreting data in a medical office setting. Must have ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem solving expertise. Works closely with Sr. Director of Medical Group Services to ensure the provision of comprehensive departmental compliance, patient satisfaction, and performance improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to meet minimum hospital hiring standards.
  • Excellent leadership, team building and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and exercise good judgment.
  • Must have the ability to work efficiently, responsibly, and independently in an environment with multiple work demands.
  • Advanced computer technology skills required.
  • A minimum of three years management experience in an outpatient setting which included billing and collections, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or additional education preferred.

    • Leads employees to accomplish all job objectives; inspires confidence and motivation; clearly defines expectations and maintains personal effectiveness under pressure.
    • Involvement in developing, monitoring and analyzing budget and financial information and utilizes all resources in an effective and economical manner.
    • Ensures a collaborative departmental approach to long-range strategic operational planning, care & service design and development of organizational policies that reflect the mission and values of the organization.
    • Develops standards and provides systems to monitor and evaluate physician office functions and assumes responsibility for designing methods to improve functions.
    • Identifies and understands customers of the clinic. Formulates and monitors working relationships which adhere to the customer standards.

  • Demonstrate sound judgment, patience and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Computer skills: MS Office, Electronic medical records etc.
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Creativity, problem analysis and decision making
  • Ability to work varied shifts
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills
  • Identifies and understands customers of the clinic. Formulates and monitors working relationships which adhere to the customer standards.
