Under the guidance of the Clinic Manager, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of back-office clinic operations and assumes full clinic responsibilities in the absence of the Clinic Manager. The Clinical Supervisor ensures adequate staffing levels for the back office by managing medical assistant schedules, monitoring daily medical assistant functions, and ensuring annual education including completing of annual competencies. The Clinical Supervisor ensures that patients receive excellent customer service by promoting our core values of Championing Patient Care, Doing the Right Thing, Embracing Individuality, Acting with Kindness and Making a Difference Together. Provides supervision and serves as a resource for Certified Medical Assistants

Provides back-up for CMA staff when necessary

Provides Triage Coverage for RN staff when necessary

Ability to respond to patient concerns in the moment when issues arise

Scrubs schedules and works to ensure that schedules are correct and that Quality Management Benchmarks in patient's charts are being met

Reviews and is responsible for addressing patient concerns in Athena staff buckets including prescription refills, DME requests, and requests from outside agencies and providers within four-hour turn-around window.

Maintain appropriate EMR documentation, obtains STAT prior authorizations when necessary, and provides notification to patients.

Maintains the highest ethical and moral behavior around   HIPPA and patient confidentiality
