Position Summary:

The primary purpose of the job position is to prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Dietitian and/or Food Service Supervisor to ensure that quality food service is provided at all times.  All duties are completed by utilizing the Five Pillars (People, Service Excellence, Clinical Excellence, Financial Excellence and Growth).

·         High School Diploma or equivalent. 

·         ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification within 60 days of start  date        

·         Knowledgeable of cooking procedures and food service sanitation. 

·         Must have good communication skills and be able to communicate with medical staff, nursing personnel, patients, family members, visitors, etc. under all conditions and circumstances. 

·         Basic computer skills are helpful.
