Position Summary:

Operates, repairs, and maintains stationary equipment including boilers, HVAC plumbing systems, generators, and refrigeration in buildings, plants or industrial facilities.  Has the ability to troubleshoot, test and maintain a variety of mechanical systems.  Ensure that equipment operates safely and within established limits.  Conducts monitoring and failure analysis of meters, gauges and controls to determine the need for repair or replacement of parts.  Performs preventative maintenance and documents completed procedures.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • One to four (1 to 4) years of related work experience.
  • Self-Starter that works wells in a team-building environment. 
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Mechanically inclined with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must obtain a 3rd Class Boilers License within 6 months by incumbent employees. 

Preferred:

  • Ability to work with computers and building automation.
  • 3rd Class Boilers License
  • Certification in related areas of work (Plumbing, Electrical, Welding, Etc.)
