Position Summary:


The Physical Therapist is a nonexempt position that reports to the Director of Physical Therapy. This role involves evaluating and conducting medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs, while also providing educational information to patients regarding injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative therapy, and rehabilitation therapy. The Physical Therapist supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatments. The position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Additionally, the therapist must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action when needed.
The essential functions of the role include performing initial and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions, establishing a plan of care tailored to the identified problems, and involving the patient according to their capabilities and desires. The therapist plans, prepares, and carries out individually designed physical treatment programs to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in patients. Therapy interventions are performed utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate for the patient’s age and condition. The Physical Therapist also directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel, assessing their competence, delegating specific tasks, and establishing clear channels of communication. Additionally, the role involves administering treatments, including the use of physical agents such as equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines. The Physical Therapist evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending modifications as needed, and identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Physical Therapist License in the state of Montanna 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
