STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for a multitude of activities in a busy clinic office setting including, but not limited to, reception, scheduling, phone calls, referrals, and registration.  The critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer services consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm friendly joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and reverence for our guests; patients, families, customers, and colleagues. EDUCATION

  1. Education: Post High School training and/or education preferred.
  2. Population Specifics: NA
  3. Experience: Two (2) years Hospital or Clinic experience preferred.
  4. Required Certification: None
  5. Other: Bilingual and/or English/Spanish-speaking preferred.  Ability to read, writes, and speak English fluently.  Ability to                                                         work with culturally diverse population.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES @R=at risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens

  1. Register daily patients/clients.
  2. Schedule patient appointments.
  3. Perform medical records functions.
  4. Process daily referrals.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service for guests; patients, families, customers, and colleagues.
  6. Exhibit organizational and time management skills.
  7. Maintain current knowledge of the needs, functions and operations of office equipment and other systems.

NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES @R=at risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens

  1. Demonstrate willingness to cover for other staff when necessary.
  2. Willingly perform other related duties as assigned or requested
  3. Participate in professional growth and development
  4. Participate in hospital/staff meetings as assigned

LOURDES HEALTH NETWORK REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES

  1. Is responsible for becoming knowledgeable and compliant with Department, Hospital, Fire/Safety/ Disaster, Educational requirements and Personnel Policies.
  2. Follow the Corporate Compliance Program and maintains confidentiality standard.
  3. Demonstrate support and adherence to the Mission and Values Statement of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet as an agent of the Network.
  4. Participate and support the Continuous Quality Improvement process and provides optimum customer service.
  5. Is responsible for development and implementation of self-management skills.
