A Medical Assistant Certified is an integral part of the health care team supporting and carrying out duties assigned, delegated, and/or supervised by a professional (MD, DO, PA, ARNP, RN) within the scope of their license.  A critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer services consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm friendly joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and respect for our guests, patients, families, customers and colleagues.

    Wage Scale: $18.77-$26.04

    MAC: Sign On Bonus with Experience: (Pro-Rated for Part Time Positions)

    • $2,000 for 0-2 years of experience
    • $3,000 for 3-4 years of experience
    • $4,000 for 4+ years of experience

      Essential Functions

      • Enhance patient access to Lourdes Health services.
      • Prepare the patient for examinations, procedures and diagnostic testing.
      • Assist physician or licensed health care practitioner.
      • Prepare and maintain accurate medical records and logs.
      • Provide appropriate review of processes to enhance efficient patient care and safety.
      • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care as allowed by Certification as a Medical Assistant appropriate to the population and specific needs of the patients served.
      • Exhibit team building spirit in relations with co-workers.
      • Setup and perform an EMG.
      • Responsible for all EMG duties and functions.

      Qualifications and requirements

      • High School Diploma or equivalent – Required
      • Completion of a certified medical assistant program – Required
      • Must have current Washington LPN Licensure or current active or interim Medical Assistant - Certified WA State certification. May also have Medical Assistant-Registered WA State certification and must obtain MA-C accreditation within six months from employment date. Current AHA HCP (BLS) Card.
      • Basic Life support (BSL)
      • Previous experience in a physician’s office preferred.
      • Other: Bilingual and/or English & Spanish speaking preferred.  Ability to work with culturally diverse population
