How you'll contribute
A Pharmacy Technician who excels in this role:
- Accurately fills medication orders and prepares pharmaceutical products, including unit‑dose medications with proper labeling.
- Delivers medications to patient care areas and automated dispensing machines accurately and on time.
- Procures pharmaceuticals and related supplies in alignment with contractual requirements.
- Maintains appropriate inventory levels by receiving, storing, counting, rotating, and returning stock.
- Restocks shelves, rotates inventory, and properly disposes of non‑recyclable items to support efficient operations.
- Processes medication and equipment dispensing records, calculates charges, and enters data into the pharmacy system.
- Generates required operational and inventory reports, including pick lists and expiring medication lists.
- Maintains accurate temperature, refrigerator, and environmental monitoring logs.
- Prioritizes workflow to ensure STAT and time‑sensitive medication needs are addressed promptly.
- Organizes and maintains pharmacy documents, logs, and records in a compliant and orderly manner.
- Maintains a clean, sanitary, and secure pharmacy environment, including safeguarding controlled substances.
- Collaborates with the Director of Pharmacy to support departmental goals and ensure operational needs are met.

Additional Information
The Pharmacy Technician, under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, supports the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy by preparing and dispensing medications in accordance with all regulatory, accrediting, and facility standards. This role maintains accurate inventory levels, organizes pharmacy supplies, and ensures a clean, orderly, and compliant work environment to support high‑quality patient care.

What we are looking for:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Pharmacy Technician certification/license in the state in which the facility operates required.
- Two years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- De-escalation certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
