The Manager of Women's Services is a Registered Nurse with clinical experience in the care of the perinatal, laboring, newborn, and gynecological patient populations.  This manager is a member of the Nursing Administration Team and reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.  He/She must be able to work collaboratively with all members of the administrative and health care team and must be able to effectively lead others.  This manager is responsible for providing clinical and operational oversight to the unit he/she manages and is responsible for ensuring the standards of care are met for the patients served.  He/She is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and that staffing goals are met in the units managed.  This manager is responsible for the coordination of patient care, performance improvement and clinical operations of the unit.  The Manager of Women's Services  is a working manager and may provide direct or indirect patient care within the hospital.


Must possess an active RN license in the state of TN or hold a compact state RN license with the intent to obtain a TN license within 30 days of hire.

Required Skills
Must have current BLS/CPR
NRP certification within 6 months of hire
Basic and advanced fetal monitoring classes within 1 year of hire
STABLE class within 1 year of hire
Must possess strong computer skills and have the ability to work with multiple computer systems
Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English
Must be able to operate standard patient care equipment for services provided
Must possess the ability to work well under pressure, to adapt quickly in changing situations, to function dependently and independently and to be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to a variety of settings.

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in the care of OB patients and newborns. Previous management, leadership, or house supervision is preferred.
