The cardiac rehabilitation programs at Centerpoint Health are designed to support a patients individual journey to a healthier heart. We commonly support patients worried about risk for heart disease or recovering from a heart event. Cardiac rehabilitation services include:
Fitness program to strengthen heart health
Nutrition counseling
Psychological counseling
Weight management
Stress management
Smoking cessation
Diabetes education
Support groups
How you'll contribute
A Cardiac Rehab RN who excels in this role:
Works in collaboration with the nurses and exercise physiologists in the Cardio Pulmonary Rehabilitation program to care for patients with recent cardiac or pulmonary events.
Assists with the patient process flows, such as cardiac telemetry monitoring, vital signs, patient education, patient assessment, maintaining exercise prescriptions for the patient, setting exercise machines, etc
Assists in cleaning/sanitizing/maintaining equipment.
Attends in-services as required for position.
Assists in maintaining logs as needed.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
- BLS ACLS and PALS required
- Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Must have critical care experience
