Department/Unit Summary
The Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation throughout the surgical experience. The RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care before, during, and after operative procedures. The Perioperative RN serves as a patient advocate while addressing the physical, psychosocial, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families. The RN communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding patient status, response to treatment, and perioperative care needs to promote positive patient outcomes and a culture of safety

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- 1 year of experience preferred
