How you'll contribute 

A Registrar who excels in this role:

  • Ensures all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and accurately entered into the registration system in a timely manner. 
  • Distributes and explains forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members. 
  • Meets with patients or caregivers before or after admission to exchange necessary information and documentation. 
  • Provides clear explanations of processes and addresses patient questions and concerns. 
  • Communicates with admitting physician offices, nursing unit staff, and other personnel to coordinate admissions and determine placement. 
  • Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization as needed. 
  • Determines and collects required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers patients to financial counselors for follow-up.

What we're looking for
Registrar:

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • Handle with Care certification required within 30 days of orientation and maintained annually
