Position Summary:

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, performs routine treatment procedures in accordance with the panned treatment program. The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant observes, reports responses, reactions to treatment and patient’s conditions to the Occupational Therapist. The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant documents subjective and objective information in the patient record. He/she performs all functions in an ethical manner to infants, children, adolescents and adults of all ages, including geriatrics. He/she demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on appropriate physical psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria.


Education: Graduate of an accredited program of Occupational Therapist Assistant training. Must have an Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy. Must maintain current State licensure from the Board of Medicine and have National Certification as a COTA.

Experience: Job requires no previous experience, but must have or initiate three (3) month period of on-the-job training.

Special Qualifications: BLS Preferred.
