Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is seeking a full-time Practice Manager for the Claysburg Family Practice in Claysburg, PA. The Practice Manager is responsible to manage the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is a 45-bed hospital that serves rural and suburban populations in Roaring Spring, Altoona, and parts of Blair, Bedford, and Huntingdon counties.  Caring for the community since 1900, Conemaugh Nason Medical Center prides itself on providing safe, high quality, compassionate care.  With a state-of-the art cardiac catheterization lab, Conemaugh Nason offers a range of inpatient, and outpatient cardiac services close to home when every minute matters. Essential Functions:

Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the

organization.

Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.

Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.

Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for

systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.

Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.

Organizational Expectations:

Presents a professional image by appearance, articulation, and behavior; adheres to hospital and departmental dress codes, including wearing

the Nason ID badge, with no pattern of deviation.

Gives evidence of dependability by: Infrequent and appropriate use of sick time (4 or more non FMLA instances will constitute a “not met” and

require a verbal warning).

Gives evidence of dependability by: Completed all assignments in a reasonable time frame per established policies.

Maintains punctuality and gives one hour notice for unscheduled absences.

Promotes appropriate customer service skills by being helpful, courteous, considerate, sensitive, and compassionate to the needs of staff,

patients, physicians, and visitors with whom we come in contact with during the work day.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Education:

Associates Degree preferred.

Minimum Work Experience:

5 years of healthcare experience.
Experience with software programs preferred; Epic, Kronos.

Required Skills:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
