Position Summary

Performs clerical and reception duties. Practices according to Person Memorial Hospital policies/procedures/standards.

Reports to: Department Manager

 

Responsibilities of the Position

This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Ensures that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest by maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest services.

Implements and maintains guest service standards. Report any issues to the practice manager. Follow-up on all negative feedback as needed or requested by Practice Manager.

Recruits, trains, develops and communicates with all registration staff (in conjunction with the practice manager) as well as assesses registration performance on a regular basis.

Manages and maintains office supply ordering. As well as purchasing patient drinks, crackers, and autoclave water.

Reconciles and deposits clinic collections as needed or requested by Practice Manager.

Employee timeclock management. Ensure all employees are punching in and out accurately as well as taking breaks. Tracking any late or absence occurrences. Timecards should be completed in accordance with LifePoint policies.

Point person for all scheduled conflicts and call offs of registration and clinical staff. Serve as the back-up for registration staff call-outs and breaks.

Learn the intricacies of scheduling across all locations and act as the back-up to the Practice Manager.

Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Composes, prepares and edits written and/or graphic materials (e.g. letters, correspondence, reports, proposals, brochures) using correct grammar and format, and meeting content requirements.

Identifies potential safety hazards in work areas and takes appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others.

Processes incoming/outgoing forms and documents according to standard operating procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned by Practice Manager.

Other tasks and duties as assigned.


Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

 

Minimum Work Experience

Preferred knowledge or experience with medical office to include all types of insurances (authorizations, verifications, and scheduling). Good communication skills.

 

Required Skills

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
