Position Summary: 

The Assistant VP of Operations performs a variety of duties to support administration of the assigned department(s)

Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Essential Functions:
Oversees a group of Directors in maintaining operation excellence and a focus on "making the community healthier". Composes, correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications. Receives, screens, and routes visitors and telephone calls. Responds to, escalates, and follows up on inquiries and problems as appropriate. Schedules/coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements. Maintains assigned calendar(s). Monitors operational efficiencies of her/his reporting Departments. Ensures that utility and structural repairs take place as needed; collaborate with internal and external tradespersons. Maintains files and office equipment. Oversees the productivity of staff, including being engaged in the hiring of personnel. Orders and stocks supplies.


Non-Essential Functions:
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.
• Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS.
• Works scheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary.
• Accepts all call schedule as directed.
• Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree is preferred, minimum is an Associate's Degree with equivalent work experience, including the role of a supervisor.
