Investigates, assesses, and plans interventions to help patients cope with social, emotional, economic, and environmental problems.


Minimum Education• Bachelors in social work required. MSW preferred. Masters in other health services field preferred.
Minimum Work Experience• Experience in social service, discharge planning, patient care services, or related health care field preferred.
  Hospital social work experience preferred.
Required SkillsCertifications:• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
