How you'll contribute 

A Student, Polysomnographic who excels in this role:

Under direct supervision of a registered polysomnographic tech:

• Educates the patient and family about procedures and monitors patient electronically and via video for any unusual sleep behaviors.

• Records observations of patient throughout the sleep session at specific time intervals and as appropriate.

• Scores polysomnography recordings and sends to the physician for interpretation.

• Maintains and operates all sleep lab equipment safely and correctly. 

• Inspects and tests sleep lab equipment to ensure that it is functioning safely and efficiently.

• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the differences in techniques and treatment modalities as performed on patients of varying ages including pediatric through geriatric.

What we're looking for 

Applicants should have a current Respiratory Therapist Licensure or completion of sleep training program. Additional requirements include:

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Sleep Lab experience, preferred

• Completion of a sleep lab training program, preferred

• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Hourly Range: $17.16-$20.38 per hour
