Position Summary:

Performs nurse assistant, administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned area. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested. First line for infant security and patient visitor access. Provides general staff support by assisting with patient scheduling and preparation, standards computer inquiries, and other routine tasks. Processes discharges, transfers and expirations, and prepares hospital reports. Assembles and maintains patient records and charts. Assists RNs and physicians with patient activities including bathing, grooming, eating, ambulation, monitors vital signs, blood glucose measurements and recording intake and output. Reports abnormal findings to nurse. Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.


Minimum Qualifications:

  •  Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire
  •  Nurse Assistant certification preferred
