The Registered Nurse provides and directs clinically appropriate patient care to an individual or group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and mission of the Department of Nursing, the organization, and the scope and standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA).

  • Participates in direct patient care in relation to wound management as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skill in assessment and performing local wound care including: debridement techniques, cleansing, dressings, pressure relief, pain control and odor control within facility.

Fauquier Health Wound Healing Center is an outpatient center specializing in the treatment of problematic wounds. The Wound Healing Center has been nationally recognized for clinical excellence and distinction, and is dedicated to high quality, patient centered care.

Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit and much, much more. The Fauquier Health system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services including Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery. The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.

Minimum Education
□ Bachelor’s degree X Preferred □ Required

Required Skills
Licenses: Current Virginia State RN License or multi-state compact license.
Certifications:
X Basic Life Support (BLS) (May be obtained during week of orientation)

Continuing Education: 15 contact hours CE required annually.
