Watertown Regional Medical Center is NOW HIRING a Registration Integrity Specialist to work in our Emergency Department!

The shift for this position will be:

Week 1: M, Tu, F, Sa - 12:00PM to 10:00PM

Week 2: Su, W, Th - 12:00PM to 10:00PM

Job Summary

  • Registration Integrity Specialists are critical to patients of Watertown Regional Medical Center as they ensure the patient’s safety both physically and financially.
  • The Registration Integrity Specialist is responsible for providing a variety of order entry, Pre-registration, registration, cost estimates, and basic financial counseling to our patients
  • They will do this while working with patients and clinics directly over the phone in real time
  • Registration Integrity Specialists will pre-register accounts by verifying all demographic and insurance information
  • This position will also enter orders as needed and identify errors in order entry to ensure patient safety
  • They will then proceed to prepare demographic and consent forms for front end staff. When applicable, estimate will also be added to the prepared paperwork. If Estimate was missed, this person will also create the estimate. 
  • Registration Integrity Specialists will backup registration areas as needed
  • They will work closely with other departments from the revenue cycle including Patient Accounting, Prior Authorization, and Registration to ensure patient experience is flawless from start to finish
  • Knowledge of Change Health’s Clearance products is critical in this position


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 years previous customer service and/or Revenue Cycle experience (Registration; Scheduling, patient accounting, etc.) Required
  • Critical thinking ability
  • Knowledge of Registration and admissions policies & procedures
  • Experience with RapidFiler and Order entry desktop
  • Knowledge of diagnostic procedures and tests
  • Data entry and keyboarding skills
  • Basic medical terminology
  • Scheduling and planning procedure skills
  • Knowledge of switchboard system and procedures
  • Knowledge of Change Healthcare Software products (AHIQA, Verifier, Estimator, Webpay, etc)
  • Ability to read and understand explanation of benefits from insurance companies and communicate information to patients
  • Knowledge of hospital billing concepts and principles
