JOB SUMMARY

 The Compliance Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the pharmacy remains in compliance with the various requirements of the FDA, TN BOP, DEA, CMS, USP, TJC, and any other bodies deemed necessary by the Director of Pharmacy. 


Minimum Education
Bachelors in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Knowledge and understanding of both federal and state pharmacy law.
Knowledge and understanding of rules and regulations of various accrediting bodies, including but not limited to the FDA, TN BOP, DEA, CMS, USP, and TJC.
Ability to locate and utilize additional resources if needed, and to validate the accuracy of any additional resources used.
Required Skills
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Excellence in communicating with peers, supervisors, team members, interdisciplinary colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Previous leadership experience.
Experience with automated dispensing systems, analyzing data, and running reports.

AHA BLS, preferred

Pharmacy License for the State of Tennessee
