JOB SUMMARY

 The Pharmacy Tech III must be registered with the State Board of Pharmacy and certified by a national organization.   The pharmacy technician assists the licensed pharmacist with the preparation and distribution of prescription medications to the patients, automation cabinets, and floor stock.

High school diploma or equivalent required

Associate’s degree preferred

Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Two certification from the following:
○ Supply Chain Management
○ Billing and Reimbursement
○ Sterile Compounding
○ Non-Sterile Compounding
○ Hazardous Drugs - Handling
○ Medication Reconciliation
○ Onboarding
○ Operations
○ Regulatory Compliance
○ Controlled Substance Diversion Prevention - Management
○ Software Certifications
If available, EHR certificate
If available, Automated Dispensing Cabinet certificate
