Job Summary
Under the direction of the Operating Surgeon, the Surgical Scrub Technician Certified First Assistant assist the surgical team in delivering direct and indirect care to the patient in the Operating Room, providing quality health care through the development of an organizational climate that is professional, compassionate, and responsive to the patient, operating surgeon, and surgical team.
The Surgical Scrub Technician Certified First Assistant must possess knowledge, judgment and skills based on the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral, and social sciences.
The Surgical Scrub Technologist Certified First Assistant assists the surgical team in identifying patient needs and plans and initiates interventions for resolution when applicable.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education• Certified Surgical First Assist certification required.• Graduate of an accredited program for Surgical Scrub Technician.• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC) within 7 days of hire.• One (1) plus years’ experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech with CSFA certification required.• Specific knowledge of surgical procedures required.• Extensive communication skills, team building skills, surgical assisting and instrumentation skills required.
