Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Admin Assistant for our Sleep Center. This job is permanent, PRN.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization as necessary. Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles.
  • Assembles and maintains patient records and charts.
  • Composes, types, and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications.
  • Receives, screens, and routes visitors and telephone calls. Responds to, escalates, and follows up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.
  • Schedules/coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements.
  • Maintains assigned calendar(s).
  • Maintains files and office equipment.
  • Orders and stocks supplies.

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent: □ Preferred X Required

X Basic Life Support (BLS)
