Job Type: PRN Tier I (Minimum 1 shift/pay period, 1 weekend shift/call per month, holidays on rotation basis)

$30,000 Sign-on Bonus Eligibility for Full-Time, Bedside RNs 

 

Must have 18 months RN hospital experience to participate in PRN

Department/Unit Summary 

PACU is a unit that can open-up-to 4 bays at a time with a 1:2 ratio. The ratio may become 1:1, depending on the acuity of the patient. We care for a variety of patients that includes but are not limited to the following surgical services: Urology; Orthopedics; Endoscopy; General Surgery; Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT); Gynecology (GYN); Spine; and Podiatry. What sets us apart from other units is the Teamwork Approach with all of us having the same goal of providing specialty surgical care at your back door.

Qualifications and requirements 
Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Additional requirements include: 

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support  

  • Experience in clinical area preferred 

  • American Heart Association ACLS within 3 months of hire 

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire
