Responsible to direct market finance department activities, functions and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values and objectives of the organization. 

Reports to: CFO

Responsible for management and safekeeping of the hospital’s investments within established guidelines.
Oversee the activities of the Finance Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits and annual budgets.
Establish and maintain systems and controls, which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company’s value.
Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
Provide direction and guidance in the implementation and ongoing operations of the decision support system.
Plans, organizes and coordinates the financial operation for the institution to control receipts of revenue, expenditures of funds and conservation of assets.
Plans, coordinates and prepares for year-end audits by the public accounting firm and third-party auditors.
Keeps abreast of all regulations and standards (including those regarding financial, billing and reporting procedures) to ensure compliance with orders or directives issued by duly constituted governmental/regulatory agencies or third-party payers.
Provides adequate cash forecasting so that operating and capital expenditures can be met.
Prepares and assembles the institution’s operating budget in cooperation with management and department heads.
Monitors prospective reimbursement methodologies and ascertains how they would impact on the institution
Evaluates and makes recommendations as to the adequacy of the organization’s rate structure in relationship to the cost of departmental operations.
May serve as Chief Staffing Officier for the organization, managing labor management process.
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical,
administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance - Required
Minimum Education
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business - Preferred
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Skills
Licenses: CPA - Preferred
Minimum Work Experience
Five years for-profit hospital experience and at least three years in a supervisory role.
