Essential Functions
• Acts as the MBS Clinical Reviewer. Manages and accurately completes and submits MBSAQIP data abstraction and other MBSAQIP job responsibilities and requirements outlined and defined for the MBS Clinical Reviewer Role (see attached MBSCR role overview).• Participates in management and completion of accreditation standards and responsibilities.• Works collaboratively with HSC and Marketing to establish and progress process efficiencies to enhance and establish the model for the LP bariatric service-line operations.• Consistently communicates and collaborates with the Marketing team to ensure accurate representation of websites and collateral.• Serves as a resource and role model for the practice, promoting and displaying the Lifepoint mission, vision, and core values.• Cultivates exemplary customer services and maintains the same expectations of all practice employees.• Routinely establishes or revises methods and procedures as needed to stay current with the regulatory requirements.• Supervises the administrative operations of practices under the general direction of the Director.• Coordinates staffing and schedule management to reflect changes in patient census and employee needs as necessary. Identifies staff needs regarding time and attendance.• Manages PTO requests and employee time punches and approvals in Kronos; maintains employee and provider PTO tracking documents, manages provider schedules in EMR system(s).• Effectively resolves staffing problems due to absences or fluctuations in workload to ensure avoidance of significant delays in service.• Monitors and control expenditures throughout the year so that budget limits are not exceeded.• Assigns and audits work results for quality, accuracy, and timeliness, including EMR cases, voice messages, prior authorizations, schedule management, etc.• Interviews, evaluates, and assesse candidates for employment.• Coordinates orientation of all new associates including orientation to the practice(s), information systems, competency checklists, class coordination.• Conducts new hire feedback session(s) as assigned to contribute to employee retention.• Conducts performance evaluations and competencies (initially and annually), and identifies behavior or performance issues. Coaches/counsels employees with performance or behavioral problems with knowledge and approval of the Director. Contributes to the professional development of assigned practices associates.• Demonstrates expert team building skills, problem-solving skills, and conflict resolution skills. Provides on-going training of assigned practice associates to departmental policies and procedures, ensuring that documentation systems are established and maintained so that status, progress and participation can be easily monitored.• Investigates complaints, errors, operational or equipment problems, and takes corrective action.• Monitors and manages inventory control and utilizes assigned vendor systems to assist practices in maintaining adequate clinical and office supplies.• Completes monthly impress fund audits and practice collections reporting and initiates process improvements for identified deficiencies.• Requests new and updated access for employees in EMR, vendor, fax, insurance systems, and public drives.• Monitors and assists staff and providers in employee health records and reporting, timely completion of assigned courses, and maintaining required certifications, such as licensures, DEA, CLIA, Board, etc.• Assists/completes employees and providers with expense reports and vendor account set-up for reimbursement.• Assists with and/or manages tasks associated with onboarding of new providers.• Consistently rounds in practice to establish and maintain presence within practice and relationships with staff and providers.• Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with hospital department leaders to maintain strong relationships and contribute to overall efficient processes for patients and providers.• Provides training and EMR updates to staff and providers and applicable.

Job Requirements
Minimum EducationMinimum EducationBachelor’s Degree minimum/preferredRHIA, RHIT, LPN/LVN, RD, RN, or BSN preferredSuccessfully completes the online MBS Clinic Reviewer Training / Certification Program
Minimum Work ExperienceMinimum 2 years experience in hospital surgery department, surgery clinic, or with clinical research or medical records.Clinical chart review and abstraction experience required.
