An exciting opportunity for a Materials Management Aide is now available in our Materials Management department. We are seeking an energetic, highly organized individual who is responsible for the day-to-day receipt and distribution of supplies to the hospital and clinics, both on and off-site. A majority of the day is spent on feet lifting, pushing, pulling, and walking on a daily repetitive basis.


Required Skills:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50lbs

• Computer and/or keyboarding skill required. Excellent human relations and oral/written communication. 
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills.
• Ability to deal with change.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude towards initiating continuous improvement.
• Ability to respond appropriately even in challenging situations.

 

Position Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Current Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record required

1-year experience working in a storeroom or with inventory preferred

Annual influenza vaccination or declination required

 

Position Details:

1.0  FTE (40 hours per week)

Day shift, 8 hour shifts

Weekdays only
