Position Summary:

A sleep technician provides care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment, works under the general supervision clinical coordinator or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and out of center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. 

Reports to: Director of Respiratory 

FLSA:  Non-exempt  


Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Work Experience
Education and/or Experience
Successful completion of a polysomnography program associated with a state license and/or a nationally accredited educational facility
OR
other Healthcare credentials AND a minimum of 6 months of experience as a Sleep Trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies.

Required Skills
RPSGT Certification is required within one year of hire
BCLS certification on hire.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Proven admin or assistant experience. Knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and planning skills. Fast, proficient, and accurate typist. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Self-starter who works well independently. Proven admin or assistant experience. Knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
