Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of the Director and is responsible for providing nursing care for acutely ill patients.  RN performs assigned procedures that are within the scope of practice as set forth by the Iowa State Board of Nursing. 

Minimum Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate age appropriate nursing care per ORCH policy/procedure and by meeting regulatory expectations from the Joint Commission and Center for Medicare/Medicaid.

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of an accredited program of Registered Nursing
  • Dysrhythmia course completed within 6 months of hire or pass written dysrhythmia competency within 90 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) preferred  

 EXPERIENCE 

  • Prefer prior experience in Telemetry or Progressive care nursing, but not required.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE

  • Current Iowa Registered Nurse License
  • Current BCLS verification
  • Progressive Care RN Certification preferred but not required
