Minimum Qualification:

·       High school diploma or equivalent required.

·       ARRT registered in Radiography and MRI

·       Basic Life Support (BLS) received through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Requirements

  • Performs magnetic resonance imaging and other various imaging procedures according to applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Review patient history and physician's orders.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures and equipment.
  • Exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
  • Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
  • Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
  • Assess MRI hazards and maintain a safe MRI environment for patients, families, and peers.
  • Assists patients through exams by monitoring them and helping keep them calm.
  • Screen all patients before accessing the MRI environment.
  • Effectively utilizes the Electronic Health Record
  • Call will be assigned on an as-needed basis.
  • Cleans room after every patient and work area on a routine basis.
