Position Summary:
Responsible for managing accounts receivable follow-up for assigned providers. Conducts daily reviews in Athena to verify successful claim submissions and payer acceptance. Maintains clear and timely communication with patients and physician offices regarding outstanding claims.

Reports to: Director of Physician Service

FLSA: Non-exempt 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: 

  • High school diploma

Skills:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Non-Essential Functions 

  • Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Skilled in the application of policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
